Getting back on track!
So the reason I love this so much is I just looked back at the day I started this blog. I started this blog on sept. 10 2008. Ella was one and I was frustrated. Its funny how little credit we give to our silly little habits. How we reward ourselves when we are good or when we have a bad day. How many magazines and articles I have read promising to change me forever, whatever the fitness roadblock may be. How many times I have gained and last the same 15 pounds is rediculous!! I always find myself back to the same place. A little stronger, a little smarter, but alot more frustrated. So I wonder if there is really a fix or if you just learn to enjoy the ride. The seasons change, life stress changes and celebrating is always around us. SO how do we learn to keep ourselves the same. So my biggest struggles are food, Lots of sugar, lots of diet coke and probably not enough fiber and veggies. So I have the most success when I just stop it completly, it seems like a little gets me started and SUGAR takes over Cravings take over. SO many things, have treat excercize more, excercize less equals less carbs. I once had a dr look at me like I was an idiot, He simply stated more calories burned, less calories consumed, its that simple. IS it?? I dont know, I am not saying I have a huge problem. I am in pretty good shape. But its just that little goal I have, it nags at me a little. I got real sick this year, when I was at a good point and it set me back about 8 pounds. So I would like to lose that plus those final 5! I know I can do it. Today I start my plan of ACTION! So my tip for today as I get back on track is: You have to have a plan, no matter what. You can never say I am going to be good starting tommorow. What are you going to eat, what are you going to avoid. What are your goals for yourself. Being prepared is not only for the boyscouts. We could all use alot more of it!! Wish me luck in my journey to fix my lifestyle and conquer the final 13! I will check in tommorow with my goals and plan of action. Good luck to you if this is something you are working on, You Can do it. Go have a fabulous Day Now.

st george marathon!
So in case you are wondering what I learned from this journey, Besides the fact I can run in extreme heat, even though I feel like I am dying a little. Its that this is a journey for all of us. Its a very personal journey. Sometimes we get caught up on being faster than a person, a time or some kind of a goal. Its about me and its about you. As long as you are doing your personal best, never selling yourself short thats what matters. Somedays are super great and some days are BAD. But they are our days and as long as we are strong and giving all we got, thats what really matters. I want to improve, I want to always do better and get stronger. But if I cant keep up with my awesome, super fit, endurance that never ends, personal trainer, running buddy Niki. Its ok she can go on her own way and I can go on mine. We will see each other at the finish line, I crossed 40 seconds after her I could not believe it,When our journey is over. Its ok because when each of you reach inside ourself you can do it TOO. I know you can. I know with out a doubt. Because I see your strength and I dont have those negative thoughts that your brain gives you to try and protect you. As soon as you tell yourself you can do it. Your body will naturally follow. I will see you out there on this journey we enjoy together. Sometimes right by each other sides and sometimes thinking of one another apart, greatful that we have each other.

Good morning SPIN!!
Yesterday I will admit I was dreading the thought of getting up at 430 to be in american fork for spin. But I went to bed early and woke up on my own, feeling fabulous. Got a super hard work out and was headed home ready for my day at 645. I have almost cleaned the whole house and done a bunch of laundry. If I could only bottle this energy. I could be so productive daily. But I will take it when I get it and hope that it can continue going strong today, 12 more hours to go!! I hit that slump, the one you get when your marathon is less than a month away. I was tired run down, than I got sick. Rough week, hopefully it is out of the way. Wish me luck on my 22 miler tomorrow, longest hardest run of training. Ready or not here I go.

uncomfortable!
Do you just ever feel uncomfortable. Uncomfortable if you dont lose a little more weight, uncomfortable in your clothes, uncomfortable without your clothes. Uncomfortable if you are going to lose the weght. working out more, eating less. I guess you just have to pick your uncomfortable. Its all about stepping out of your comfort zone. Do you ever read one of those fitness magazines. You know they show the cover model and she shares her diet. Its never a diet coke and chocolate donut for breakfast, cheesy enchiladas for dinner. Its lean proteins, veggies, fruits and whole wheat stuff. Its work, hard work! Commitment, hard commitment. You know when its the toughest for me when I am mad, sad, happy or bored. I am an emotional eater, I confess. Never been one of those people who cant eat when I am stressed. Never quite under stood that. I am so good at maintaining, I just have to push super hard and do this. Ella is 2 now and it reminds me how long I have been fighting this stubborn 20. It wins everytime and I am tired of it. So its game on now, time to step out of comfort zone. Knowing full well I can do it. Just trying to figure out how to stay focused in my busy life....I hope you are doing fabulous and feeling fabulous!

improvement
So I have been doing good. Getting my runs in, on average 4 miles. Today I did intervals, I ran 1 minute, walked one minute, for a half hour. Wow it was a good workout. I read yesterday that interval training is an important part of shedding fat. Hey who doesnt want to shred a little of that. I am working on strengthening my stomache. I have always dreamed of a ripped stomache. One day I will pull it off., until than still just working on improving. Havent lost any weight, but defiantely getting stronger. I need to cut back on the sugar and diet coke for sure. But some days it just sounds so good, ok everyday it sounds good. Am the only one?
